Colored pants, a new look.

For such a long time I did not liked colored pants. Not for me as a woman, even worse if it was for a man. I just don’t know, but I thought it looked cheap and funny. Can’t exactly explain why I felt this way, but I did. But, as we all know, we keep changing our minds as we get old. 🙂

Well, lately I found myself wearing colored pants. And, my babe, as well. These mustard Scotch and Soda pants are just an eye catcher, right? At first I didn’t like it that much, and thought that he wouldn’t as well. Guess I was wrong! So, I couldn’t resist to make my first post about men’s fashion. I think he did well, so the world deserves to know! 😀

We’ve been in a cruise ship for a week and a half. It was our honeymoon. Yes, I got married, even though I haven’t posted anything about it. Just wait for the official (and stunning) photos!

These specific photos were taken at the Vatican City, in Italy. It was a quick stop, and I certainly will go back to Rome some other time in my life.

And, this was my outfit for this day. He did much better than I did, right? Must have been the seasickness! Hehe

Hope you all enjoy these photos!

How do you feel about colored pants? Have you ever been in a cruise ship, what was the experience like? And what about Italy, have you been there?

It’s a…

kitty II

It was exactly one month ago when I last created a post. I’ve been busy, but today I wanted to share with you the love for my pet, and of course show you my outfit.

This is Dexter, my white, playful cat. I have him for almost a year now, and we both have been through a lot in this relationship. I had a hard time adapting to his presence and to all the fur inside the house. He got sick and almost died. So now I guess we are both in a happy place.

Dexter was an abandoned cat. I have named him after the famous TV show “Dexter”. Not because he’s some sort of rats and lizards serial killer, but because when I found him, his ears had some blood and he was a mess. We take good care of him and keep him inside the house, but the damage was already done. His ears never completely healed, and continued furless. So we have to apply sunscreen when he goes outside, because he still loves to do it.

I have developed such an affection for this little fury ball, that I can’t imagine my life without him!

Says the Cat: ” I don’t usually want to cuddle, but when I do, you are wearing all black and about to leave for work.”

Today I was not wearing black, but navy…which is about the same. But I think it was me who wanted to cuddle, like I always do!

Both the shoes and the cullotte were bought on sale. I think it’s an elegant and chic outfit for work, or for a night out if you wish. What do you think?

When I first saw this cullotte I instantly remembered Sex and The City, Carrie Bradshaw. Sarah Jessica Parker wore a suit with a similar shape in one of the episodes. So I had to have this. These days everyone wears super short Shorts, so I like to make the difference.

Do you like the combination? Would you wear the cullotte? Is this more of a work outfit or a night out type?

How to dress for a Job Interview

…Without losing your personality.

Going to Job Interviews isn’t easy. That means that either you are unemployed or are unhappy with your current job. But you can add some fun to such a nerve racking moment by deciding what to wear. At least, it’s what I do!

Black&White is a flawless combination. You just can’t ever fail. You can add some color in your shoes or accessories, and it will be perfect. So my three suggestions are all in the same shade of color. It’s important to be memorable to your employer, but in a good way, so innovate though don’t forget common sense and sobriety.

Black pants. Everyone should have a pair. These are very simple, I tried to add the “me factor” by wearing this polka dot blouse and the black vest with a bow. Of course, the color block shoes finished the look. Actually, I never thought of mixing these garments before, especially the blouse+vest, but it turned out to be an excellent choice. Do you agree?

I cannot describe how much I love this skirt. In fact, the full midi-skirt trend is really amazing. Plain or printed, these skirts are so flattering and elegant that I simply cannot stop looking for another one, and another one! Actually, I only own this one from H&M and a dress that I bought a few years ago. And, what about that? I could never had imagined that the dress would be so IN after all this time! Fashion is really cyclic! It’s a polka dot retro dress, and I love it! I’m glad I didn’t give it away!

About this outfit specifically, I must say that it’s a powerful one. Its elegance may look through as arrogance. I have the confidence to wear it, but maybe on a second round interview. Are you with me on this?

Skirt: H&M AW14 Blouse: Sacoor Brothers (old) Shoes: Berskha (old)

Black pants. Oh, I have already talked about it. But, these are not only another black pair. It’s an envelope/baggy shape pants, from Benetton. My intention was to wear a more playful pair of black pants, in order to add originality to the B&W option. I opted by combining it with a loose sleeveless chiffon blouse that I bought at a local store. To tell you the truth, this was formerly a dress. But, I thought it would be of more use as a blouse. I guess I was right.

Basically, despite the pants might transmit the idea of a “relaxed” moment, the blouse and the heels make it more formal and fun at the same time.

I have to tell you that I only wore these two toned shoes once. It’s a size bigger and I just can’t walk properly. It’s a pitty. So, I am constantly thinking if ways to work around the problem. Any ideas?

Everything that you wear reveals your personality, but shoes tell more. Don’t you think? So, if the employer is not amazed by your qualities – shame on him/her – or your B&W choice, at least he can remember your shoes!

What do you think of these combinations? Would you wear? Do you like the Black&White? Tell me, I want to know!

And good luck. Some fantastic job is waiting for you! 😉

The Pocket Dress

hmprod       hmprod (1)

No, it does not fit in my pocket. It’s a dress WITH pockets … and a belt! 🙂

I did not need this, but I couldn’t resist! It fits me so well, and it’s elegant and I can pair it more casually, with boots for example. It’s the Jacquard-weave Dress from H&M and I am in love! I was in love when I first saw it, and now it’s mine… (until I decide to return it…I am like that, indecisive)!

It will be Christmas in less than three weeks, and I have to say that I am forbidden of buying any more presents for myself! I am embarrassed … But believe me when I say that I am going to buy presents for all the ones I LOVE! 🙂

What about you, what type of dresses have you bought lately? Do you have a special occasion to wear them or you just fell in love, or both like me? Please tell me about your latest dress – and other – purchases!
